| INSTRUCTIONS: |
| 1.
If using 1" discs, glue same size discs together, creating 6",
10" and 12" cake layers. |
| 2.
Glue together strips of paper ribbon to cover the tops of 10"
and 12" layers and top and bottom of 6" layer. Trace around
discs and cut out; glue circles to layers. Wrap the sides of
each layer with strips of ribbon. |
| 3.
Glue moss around bottom edge of 12" layer. Center the 10" layer
over the 12" layer and glue in place. |
| 4.
Cut foam balls in half; spray one half of each ball with basil
paint. |
| 5.
If using branch, cut three 6" lengths. Spray branches or dowels
and dried grass with basil paint. |
| 6.
Using a ruler and paper, draw a triangle with three equal sides
measuring 3 1/2", cut out. Center triangle on 10" layer; pin
in place. Each point of the triangle should be 3" from edge
of layer. Using a pencil, make a 1/2" deep hole at each triangle
point. Remove triangle. Glue dowel or branch in each hole. |
| 7.
Glue painted half of 3" ball between three wooden branches.
Add boxwood, dried grass and dried flowers to ball and around
base of 12" layer (see photo). |
| 8.
Apply glue to top of three branches or dowels; center 6" layer
and gently push on to branches. Using a level, adjust 6" layer
until it is even. Glue painted half of 2" ball in the center
of top layer; decorate with boxwood, dried grass and flowers. |
