| INSTRUCTIONS: |
| 1.
Using a serrated knife, cut (2) 5" x 30" rectangles from one
sheet of STYROFOAM for sides of birdhouse. Using a second sheet,
cut (1) 10" x 11" piece for the base, (1) 10 1/2" x 6" piece
for one side of the roof, and (1) 10 1/2" x 5" piece for second
side of roof. Cut (2) 6" x 33" rectangles from third sheet of
STYROFOAM; cut roof peaks as shown (see Diagram A). |
| 2.
Using a cookie cutter or mouth of a small jar, cut out four
holes approximately 6" apart on front of birdhouse (see Diagram
A). |
| 3.
Place back of birdhouse face down. Glue sides to the back. Glue
on front piece. Hold in place with toothpicks until dry (see
Diagram B). |
| 4.
Glue the two roof sections together, gluing the shorter piece
to underside of larger piece (see Diagram C). Center the roof
over the birdhouse and glue in place. |
| 5.
Center the birdhouse on base; glue in place. |
| 6.
Spray paint birdhouse with burnt umber paint. For a natural
look, allow some of the green STYROFOAM Brand Products to show
through the paint. |
| 7.
Glue twigs to the front of the birdhouse, approximately 1/2"
below each hole. |
| 8.
Wet moss; squeeze out water. Arrange moss on sides of the birdhouse
(see photo). Use floral pins to hold moss in place. |
| 9.
Decorate the base with dried flowers, twigs and a small bird's
nest with eggs. Glue bird to the top perch. |
