Use knife handle to press small oval-shaped mouth into narrow
end of foam egg body. Using photo as guide, use fingertips to
press c-shaped "gills" into each side of body behind mouth. |
| 2.
Insert wooden skewer into body. Holding skewer, paint body.
Place skewer in heavy glass or jar; let dry. |
| 3.
Cut patterns from craft foam as indicated. Punch dots from craft
foam, if desired. Note: Designer used one color for front and
rear fins, second color for tail and remaining fins, and third
color for dots. |

Using photo as guide, use knife to cut eight shallow slits (about
1/8" deep) in body for fin and tail placement. Apply glue inside
slits; insert foam pieces. Use tip of skewer to press foam deep
into slits. Glue dots to body, if desired. Let dry. |
| 5.
Press and glue bead eyes into head. |
