MATERIALS
NEEDED:
STYROFOAM*

Sheet, 1/2" x 12" x 36"

Materials:
Acrylic craft paint: white, black
Varnish, matte finish
Cardstock, 3" x 5" white
Nose, 15mm black
Buttons, 7mm black, two
Serrated knife
Old candle
Wire cutters
Paintbrush
Glue stick, acid free
Thick white craft glue
| INSTRUCTIONS: |
| 1.
Using sharp pencil, trace pattern pieces onto foam sheet. Wax
knife blade with old candle; cut out all pieces. Sand rough
edges with scrap of foam. |
| 2.
Paint body, paws and head white; when dry, apply second coat.
Paint tail, ears, claws and inside edge of photo opening black;
when dry, apply second coat. Varnish all surfaces; let dry. |
| 3.
Cut out selected photograph 1/8" larger than picture opening.
Using glue stick, glue photo onto cardstock. Cut out cardstock
1/8" larger than photo. Center photo in opening and glue cardstock
to back of dog. |
| 4.
Cut shank from animal nose using wire cutters. Glue button eyes
and nose in place. |
| 5.
Referring to photo, glue paws, tail and head to body. |
